Code Compliance

Code compliance means meeting adopted building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy codes—including permits, inspections, and required tests.

Common Triggers in HVAC

  • Duct leakage testing, ventilation/ERV/HRV, economizers/DOAS.
  • Controls & commissioning requirements; demand control ventilation.
  • Permits/inspections for mechanical, electrical, gas, and sometimes roofing/structural for RTUs.

Copy-Ready Clause

Permits and inspections required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) are included only as listed in the Scope. Testing or documentation not expressly listed (e.g., third-party TAB, special inspections) is excluded unless added by change order.
