The Scope of Work (SOW) defines what you will do—and just as important—what you will not do. It drives price, schedule, and success.

Must-Haves

  • Equipment list (model/tonnage), location, and accessories.
  • Permits/inspections included or excluded.
  • Electrical/gas/duct/structural work included or excluded.
  • Startup/commissioning deliverables and documentation.
  • Owner responsibilities (filters, access, approvals).

Copy-Ready Paragraph

Contractor will perform the work specifically listed in this Scope. Work not expressly listed—including duct modifications, structural changes, electrical upgrades, abatement, or controls programming—is excluded and may be added by written change order.
